Before founding Galegale & Associados in 1989, Napoleão Galegale worked as a consultant on systems, information technology (IT) and corporate finance projects developed by national and international consulting and auditing companies. He has always sought to combine his consulting activities with academic activities related to teaching and research. His education includes a PhD in Controllership from the School of Economics, Administration and Accounting of USP - FEA/USP (2000), a Master's degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic School of USP - POLI/USP (1990), a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the School of Economics, Administration and Accounting of USP - FEA/USP (1984) and a Technologist in Data Processing from the School of Technology of São Paulo of UNESP - FATEC/UNESP (1977). He also holds the following international certifications: CGEIT – Certified of the Governance of Enterprise IT (ISACA), COBIT Foundation Certificate (ISACA/ITGI) and ITIL V3 (OGC). He began his professional career at the age of 18, having worked as a Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, Project Manager and Director, bringing together over 40 years of experience in a variety of projects, including: privatization of a technology company, preparation and implementation of strategic plans for systems and technologies, evaluation of systems and computing environments, outsourcing, implementation of IT areas, auditing of systems and IT security, implementation of ERP/CRM/BI systems, IT governance and its alignment with corporate governance and, recently, in the use of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. His role as the person ultimately responsible for projects includes, among others, the following companies: Alcatel Telecommunications, Audi, National Petroleum Agency - ANP, National Bank for Economic and Social Development - BNDES, Banespa, Bradesco, Mercantil Bank of São Paulo, Banco Nossa Caixa, Banco Real, Banerj, BIC Pens, Riograndense Sanitation Company - CORSAN, Paulista Metropolitan Train Company - CPTM, Paulista Power and Light Company - CPFL, CIELO, Cásper Líbero Foundation, FIA - Administration Institute Foundation, João Paulo II Foundation, MAPFRE Insurance Group, Pão de Açúcar Group, Sílvio Santos Group, Votorantim Group, Cancer Hospital, IBM, Knauf Isopor, Lenovo, Microsoft, PRODAM, PRODESP, National Treasury Secretariat, SERPRO, Unicór, Unisys, VARIG and Vega Environmental Engineering. He also works as an expert witness, judicial expert and technical assistant specializing in IT in judicial and extrajudicial proceedings and in mediation and arbitration chambers. He has participated and continues to participate, giving lectures and presenting papers, in national and international Congresses, Seminars and Conferences. He is an active participant in his community. In 1980, he participated in the founding and first board of the Electronic Data Processing Auditors Association Inc. - EDPAA São Paulo Chapter and later, from August 1987, on the board of the Brazilian Association of Systems Auditors - ABAS. In 1999, he was also a founding member of the Information System Audit and Control Association - ISACA São Paulo Chapter. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Computer and Telecommunications Users of São Paulo - SUCESU-SP. In his academic life, shortly after completing his first degree at FATEC/CPS, he was invited to join as a professor in 1978, where he remains to this day, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the specialization and master's level (stricto-sensu). In 1998, he joined as a professor at the School of Economics and Administration at PUC/SP, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the master's level (stricto sensu). He has supervised research projects and theses. He has participated as an Information Technology specialist in public examination boards since 1984.

He has worked in the Information Technology (IT) area for over 23 years, where he has worked as a Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, Systems Auditor, Consultant, Project Manager and Director for a wide range of market segments, for government agencies and small, medium and large companies, both national and international. Having worked with Galegale & Associados since 1999, Gustavo has worked as a Consultant on security assessment projects, systems and IT audits, process mapping and implementation, IT governance implementation, performance indicator structuring, strategic technology plan development, service level agreement management implementation, budget preparation and IT cost calculation and transfer. He became a partner in the company in 2006, taking on the role of IT Consulting and Governance Services Manager and, in 2019, its Executive Director. At Galegale & Associados, he has worked on projects for several clients, such as: Cielo, IBM, Unisys, Lenovo, Banco Nossa Caixa, Banco Itaú, Bicbanco, CPTM – Cia. Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos, SPTrans, Global One Telecomunications, Grupo Rede, Eucatex, Prodesp, Prodam, IPESP, Grupo Segurador MAPFRE, and Fundação de Apoio à Tecnologia. He holds a Master's and PhD in Administration from the School of Economics, Administration and Accounting at the University of São Paulo – FEA/USP, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Information Technology Management (Master Business Information Systems – MBIS) from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC/SP. He holds the professional certifications of CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) and COBIT Foundation Certificate from ISACA, PMP (Project Management Professional) from PMI, ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate from OGC and SCRUM Master Accredited Certification from Scrum Institute. He actively participates in events in the area, giving lectures and courses at Congresses, Seminars and Conferences. He is President of the ISACA São Paulo Chapter, where he also served as Vice-President. In academia, he is an Associate Professor at FIAP.
